Austrian design objects with a high standard
Company profile
Breuer & Bono is an Austrian furniture label based in Graz, founded and managed by designer Martin Breuer‑Bono. The brand stands for minimalist aesthetics and the highest quality materials – realized in carefully produced series, crafted by local artisans.
Martin Breuer-Bono holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Vienna University of Technology and a Master of Design from the Royal College of Art in London. He coined the term "Design Development" and pursues a design concept that combines conceptual depth with minimalist material use.
Design philosophy
For Martin Breuer-Bono, design means reflecting the essence of an object: What meaning does it have for the user? What relevance does it have in the space? His objects should establish an emotional connection and enhance contextual depth. In doing so, he combines simplicity with radiant impact ("Beautiful systems").
Handcrafted production
All products – especially shelving systems – are produced in small batches. Manufactured in regional workshops from select materials such as birch plywood or metal. Typical models include "OPEN," "ADONIS," "SCHLAGSEITE," and "PENTHAUS," which embody clean lines and visual lightness. .
Awards & Presentations
Breuer & Bono has been nominated several times for prestigious design awards such as the German Design Award 2015 and the Austrian State Design Prize 2015, as well as for the Green Product Award 2018. The products have been presented at international trade fairs such as IMM Cologne and shown in exhibitions in numerous countries.
